Thanks Pastor - It's great knowing that you feel the devotionals are worth using. I'd be interested in how they work out with your seniors.

Love what you are saying- that is wisdom. Just to be little extra clear - I didn't know anything of what of you said about the children in
2 Chronicles chap. 20 until after my church had that special meeting on June 12. I began to search on the internet
because I wanted to see if anybody felt the same way I did. Lo and behold, there was your devotion on 2 Chronicles. chap. 20
concerning the same subject as mine. I believe that was no accident but the consolation and encouragement of the Holy Spirit.
It was very timely because sometimes we go through things where we wonder ," Am I the only one that feels this way. Is it just me?"

                With much thankfulness,
                                      Brother "g"

Thanks for the encouragement my friend. I know we need balance and that there are times when it makes good sense to dismiss the children and teens to well-planned, spiritual activities that are age appropriate. Still, there's a time for them to see the adults of the church getting serious about God...to listen to them pray "grown ups talking with God" prayers. If not, they may never make the connection that adults believe in God and trust in God just as much as we want them to.

I believe totally what you are saying is of the Spirit- straight from the heart of God. The reason why I say this is because I conveyed the
same thing you said to my church during a special meeting on June 12, 2011. I used the same passage concerning the children.
We have sunday school for the children right a the sametime of the prayer meeting which we have twice a month on Sunday.
It has always troubled me because this is the only time we as a congregation come together to pray. I'm all for childrens' church
but not during a church prayer meeting. Especially during times like these, we need to gather all the little ones, all the families,
the deacons, the elders, the pastors and CRY OUT to our Heavenly Father. We need the power of the Holy Spirit to come
down continuously and give life to every ministry of the church. We must first prayerfully acknowledge God the Holy Spirit as being
IN ONE ACCORD - then and only then can we really know that we have life giving ministries for children, youth, and adults.
Praise God for your loving honesty and observation about the children in that passage- 2 Chronicles chap. 20
May I add more to your insight by also listing Joel 2:15

                                                " Blow the trumpet in Zion, consecrate a fast,
                                                  Call a sacred assembly;
                                                 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation,
                                                  assemble the elders,
                                                 GATHER THE CHILDREN AND NURSING BABES,

                                               Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber,
                                               and bride from her dressing room.
                                               Let the priests, who minister to the Lord,
                                               weep between the porch and the altar;
                                              Let them say, "Spare Your people , O Lord,
                                               And do not give Your heritage to reproach,
                                             that the nations should rule over them.
                                             Why should they say among the peoples,
                                              ' Where is your God?"

God bless you pastor and continue to speak the truth that makes us free in Christ.
